"I'm going to take you to school today in my pajamas, so we're not late."
"Umm...Really?!"
As if the 3-week unmowed grass full of dandelions, the everything-under-the-sun-stored-in-here carport, and the 30-inch weeds growing in the walkway aren't enough. Now I have to go and take the girls to school in my pink-flowered-can't-be-mistaken-for-clothes pajamas.
I'm hitting bottom.

Are you kidding? Every mother does that at least once in a while, like once a year or once a month or once a week! Unless, of course, you're on your way to some other place. Then don't wear your pajamas.

I figure the key is to go to sleep in your clothes so nobody can tell if you just happened to roll out of bed (nevermind the bad breath and messy hair!). Or better yet, get pajamas that look like clothes (I consider this my best mom trick). I wanna see your pink flowered pajamas and skirted bathing suit. I bet you are ever so cute in both. Oh, and if you've hit rock bottom, I must be at sub-terranean. I ride my bike to school with the kids for all to see in my look-like-clothes pajamas almost every day.
