What's the Difference Between Forgiving...

...Forgetting, and Sweeping Under the Rug?

Are they all shades of the same colour?

Or different colours altogether?

Are they step 1, 2, and 3?

Is the only measure of forgiveness the response to next time?

All I can say is I am grateful that forgetting comes easily to me.
